Where can I use my Greater Tokyo Pass?

The Greater Tokyo Pass is valid for railways operated by the following 12 companies:

  • All Odakyu lines

  • Keikyu Line

  • Keio Line

  • Keisei Line* – includes train from Narita Airport to town

  • Sotetsu Line

  • Seibu Line

  • Tokyo Metro Line

  • Tokyu Line

  • Toei Subway

  • Tokyo Sakura Tram (Toden Arakawa Line)

  • Tobu Line

  • Minatomirai Line

  • Yokohama Municipal Subway

Passengers may incur a separate fee when using limited express trains requiring a fare and reserved seating.

*When travelling on the Narita Sky Access Line, you may use your pass between the following stations:

All stations of the Keisei Line (excluding the Hokuso Line section between Shinshibamata and Inba Nihon-idai Stations) and Narita Airport stations

The Greater Tokyo Pass is also valid for use on buses operated by 52 companies in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba and Saitama.

How long is the pass valid for?

3 days from date of purchase. Your ticket is considered first used from the time of use.

Therefore, you should aim to use your pass as early in the day as possible in order to maximize its validity.

How do I use my Greater Tokyo Pass?

Greater Tokyo Pass Paper Ticket

The Greater Tokyo Pass will be issued in the form of a paper ticket. This paper ticket cannot be used at automatic ticket gates and must be used at manned gates for railways only. If you’re using the Greater Tokyo Pass for travel on a bus, simply present your ticket to the attendant. You may be asked to present your passport for identity verification purposes.

What if I don’t use my Greater Tokyo Pass?

Travellers can refund their pass with a JPY220 service charge deducted from the price.

You can only refund your pass if it meets the following conditions:

  • The pass is refunded before start of travel

  • The pass is refunded within the period of validity
