With more than 100,000 marine animals over 1,000 species, there’s seriously no better place for kids to learn about the wonders of the sea and the importance of environmental conservation at the same time.
The centrepiece of the aquarium is the Open Ocean Habitat which provides one of the planet’s largest windows to the ocean with a floor-to-ceiling viewing panel measuring 36 metres long and 8.3 metres high! Right next to the habitat is the Ocean Dome, where you can experience the thrill of watching a squadron of manta rays gliding by above.
One of the most visually stunning habitats, the sea jelly gallery is amongst the aquarium’s most popular and Instagram-worthy spots for shutterbugs. Apart from seeing sharks and fish up close, kids can also interact with marine creatures like sea stars and sea cucumbers at the touch pool.
Just a disclaimer – after this visit, don’t be surprised if the kids start asking for their own aquarium!
